In 2021, the Kansas legislature passed House Bill 2391 which, among other things, required business entities to file a biennial business entity information report with the Kansas Secretary of State (instead of an annual report) beginning in 2023. The Kansas Secretary of State recently announced that this new biennial filing requirement has been postponed until January 1, 2024 due to a budget proviso. They intend to post a notice of this postponement on their website in the near future and will post updates to that notice as they near implementation of the biennial report filing requirement in 2024.
