The Texas Secretary of State’s office has announced that they will begin offering tiered expedited services for select corporate filings beginning October 1. Called Texas Express, this new service will include three expedite options:
- Same-Day Service ($750 plus the document filing fee) – Filings received by 12p CT will be processed by close of business the same day.
- Next-Day Service ($500 plus the document filing fee) – Filings received by 12p CT will be processed by close of business the next business day.
- Standard Expedited Service ($50 plus the document filing fee) – Filings will be processed before routine submissions and are expected to typically take 2-3 business days.
Same-day and next-day expedited service will be limited to the following types of documents:
- Certificate of Conversion
- Certificate of Merger
- Certificate of Amendment (domestic entities)
- Restated Certificate of Formation (domestic entities)
- Certificate of Validation (domestic corporations)
The Secretary of State’s office strongly encourages preclearance of documents that will be submitted on a same-day or next-day basis.
Same-day and next-day filings must be submitted in-person. To allow us sufficient time to prepare and deliver the filings, Capitol Services’ cut-off time for these filings will be 10:30a CT.
