A Closer Look With…
Delanie Case — 1979 | Austin
On my first day at Capitol Services, I will never forget…
Staring at the phone waiting for it to ring!
If you were in a different profession, what would it be?
I thought I wanted to be a teacher.
What is the most memorable moment at Capitol Services over the past 39 years?
When we first opened we operated out of a house down the road from the Secretary of State. When we would get an order, I’d type it up on the typewriter, jump in the car, floor-board it to “the State” to get the order filled, and floor-board it back to our office. I guess my customer service skills were there from the onset!

Having awesome bosses and the long-lasting friendships I have developed.

Probably 30 because I thought I was old and that was so far from the truth!

Loyal and Boring.
Do you have a favorite family memory that has stuck with you into adult life?
Instead of taking the neighborhood kids to get an Icee, which was probably 5 cents, my dad would break out the blender, ice, and coke and make them for us. He was a bit frugal, can you tell?
There ain’t nothin’ in the world better than…
A boat ride with my husband, Dan, with a drink in hand.

I got this job through a Vocational Office Education program in high school. I was able to go to school half-day and work the other half. One of the requirements of the program was a work performance evaluation by my employer. My first report was left blank because Cheryl wrote, “Unable to evaluate because he doesn’t talk.” My teacher asked me to open up, well, now you know the rest of the story! LOL

They allow me to be me – that is scary in itself.
